After a wet and wild cyclone Debbie passed through Brisbane, Dr Scott Preston and I held the first ECT visitor induction meeting of the year on Friday 31 March at the GPTQ Stafford office. It was a great day bringing a wide variety of interested doctors into the ECT visitor pool. From new fellows to long time supervisors we met and exchanged our experience of supporting registrars through training. The focus of the day was on providing effective feedback – a skill that supervisors use frequently.

If you are interested in becoming an ECT visitor we are looking for people to join us in all regions of GPTQ. An ECT visit generally involves sitting in with a registrar for approximately three hours of consulting time and providing feedback to the registrar, supervisor and ourselves. If you would like more details of how to become involved please contact your local district office.
